Our world, our cities, our job — to be aware

Our world today is filled with beautiful as well as terrifying things, about which we feel too many people are ignorant. Our global cities worldwide are experiencing remarkably interesting changes which we, the students of the 10th grade at the American School of Paris, believe we should communicate.

With students of more than 40 different nationalities, we offer an unusual perspective on the world. As our projects show — from first-person accounts of Rio’s favelas to real-time reporting on Paris’ new Station F — our diversity is our strength.

Our goal is to open your eyes on many of the world’s biggest issues; to change your minds on what you might believe about certain countries; and to reach your hearts, hoping to make a difference, in making our world a better place.

Lucas MacEachern, Cité writing team co-leader, American School of Paris
